Monday night the Koyle's and Schroeder's went out for a night on the town! We visited the lights on Temple Square and the Gateway mall in Salt Lake City. This is the organ and us in the Assembly Hall.
Then we went into the visitors center. They had a Primary theme tree and several exibits and a fantastic view of the Temple from the window.
Rose had brought some of those 3-D glasses that put santas or angels around lights; we passed them around all evening!
Then we went to visit the Gateway Mall that was built for the Olympics in 2002. We also saw the Olympic Legacy Plaza with the “dancing waters” of the Olympic Snowflake Fountain. We had dinner in the eatery because all of the sit-down resturants had 45 minute waits and then we shopped at the Build-A-Bear for Erin and Barnes and Noble for me. We had Starbucks hot chocolate and sat on the balcony overlooking the fountain. Books and hot chocolate...what more could you want?
There was much debate as to which animal Erin should get. Everyone had an opinion.
She settled on a gray and pick cat. Here she is being stuffed to Erin's specifications.
Then she picked a heart, kissed it and it was placed in the cat.

Jim had to step in and make sure the job was getting done right!

Then came the important job of picking a name. Again, lots of input. Alot of silly names. All of a sudden, with no prompting Erin said, "Jane". So everyone, meet Jane the Kitty Cat!

We had a heck of a time keeping the kids out of the fountain!
